• My new search engine success guide is now available.
• My Google Suggest Explorer is a cool keyword tool that can be used for long-tail searches. Give it the start of a phrase, like say java or foodtv.com or housing options, and it will complete the phrase and let you quickly search Google for those phrases or else drill down to deeper related phrases.
• Things are pretty busy on other sites, though not this one. My unofficial AdSense blog is still going strong. I have a website creation tool available for sale.

• Did a small reorg of the articles section of this site. More to follow.

• Finally changed all references to MakeEasyMoneyWithGoogle.com to point to memwg.com. The site had to be moved to a different domain so that I could continue to show AdSense ads on it. It would be silly to have a site about AdSense and not show AdSense ads on said site.
• The BlackBerry development pages now reference my CluelessAbout site, which has BlackBerry and J2ME sections. The concise BlackBerry information directory is also of interest.

• Added a new tool, the Amazon Product Viewer. It lets you view the information about any product on Amazon given the product's ISBN/ASIN. A simple example of Amazon Web Services in action.

• Having been on the Internet since the late 80's, I've answered more than a few questions in my day. To gather those answers into a single spot, I thought I'd create CluelessAbout.com, a new questions-and-answers site. It's kind of bare right now, but expect it to fill up over the next few weeks with all kinds of information about random things I'm interested in. So send in your questions!
• On that note, one of the first entries on CluelessAbout.com is called "Redscowl Bluesingsky" or "Redscowl-Bluesingsky"?. If it doesn't make sense to you, don't worry, it's my lame attempt at participating in an SEO contest.

• Added a press releases section to the site.

• Be sure to follow my AdSense case study as I build my Invisible Fence Guide from scratch and turn it into a well-oiled money-making machine. (Well, perhaps just a very squeaky money-making machine.)

• Read my interview with the Record (PDF format) in which I discuss my latest book, Make Easy Money with Google: Using the AdSense Advertising Program. The Record is the daily newspaper that serves the cities and towns in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, including the City of Waterloo where I am based.

• My new AdSense book, Make Easy Money with Google: Using the AdSense Advertising Program is now shipping! This is a book for computer users, not computer geeks, but if you're a technical person and you liked any of my previous books, this is a great one to recommend to your friends and family.

• The Make Easy Money with Google Blog is now up and running. This blog is where I'll be posting updates and additional material for my AdSense book. The blog was built using blojsom, a servlet-based blogging engine, with extensive tweaks to the JSP page templates, of course. Now that I have it working, I may setup a separate blog here on this site, too. We'll see.

• Call me crazy, but I've gone and written another book. This one is an AdSense book titled Make Easy Money with Google: Using the AdSense Advertising Program and as it's very different from my first three books. It's a book for non-technical users that explains how to build money-making websites using Google's AdSense program. It's due out on June 17 from Peachpit Press. The book's already been mentioned in a USA Today article.

• The PowerPoint slides for my WES 2005 talk Developing and Deploying Java Applications for BlackBerry: Making Sense of it All are now available for download.

• Did you see me and my upcoming book, Make Easy Money with Google (the website will be up soon) mentioned in a USA Today article about the AdSense program?

• Here's a quick analysis of the Yahoo! Publisher ad program (a competitor to Google's AdSense program) that Yahoo! is apparently going to launch soon.

• Dusted off and re-published an article I wrote in 1987: The ANSI Standard: A Summary for C Programmers. Of historical interest, primarily.

• Added a servlet filter to strip out unnecessary whitespace at the beginning and end of the site's JSP pages. I was getting reports that some browser/proxy combinations were being confused by the extraneous linefeeds at the beginning of the pages, even though the correct Content-Type header was being sent.

• Added the HTTP Header Viewer tool that shows what headers your browser is sending to this site.
• Added article Masquerading your browser.

• Started fleshing out Eric's J2ME Pages. Check out the Overviews of J2ME and the list of J2ME acronyms.

• Stripped out accented characters. For the reason why, see Google AdSense tips.

• Added Qu'est-ce que Java 2 Micro Edition?, a French translation of What is Java 2 Micro Edition?, with thanks to Lionel Raffin for the translation.

• Added more information about the free online courses I developed and teach at CodeWarriorU.

• Changed the look of the home page again!

• Added an old but still relevant article I wrote on deploying Java applets.

• Added a description of the Mobile Information Device Profile for Java 2 Micro Edition book, including a sample chapter.

• Still playing around with the site format. Added the option to choose wide vs. narrow pages in the session preferences. Added some shading and some borders to more cleanly separate the code shown in the explanation of how this site works.

• This site is currently undergoing a major redesign and reimplementation. The old content is temporarily unavailable, but most of it will return in a new form. Please bear with me while I do this, you'll find the site much more relevant and useful when I'm done, and I'll find it easier to keep things up-to-date.
